CyberStart America

To be eligible to receive a free CyberStart Game license through CyberStart America, a student has to meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 13 years old.
  • Be enrolled in 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade at a U.S. public, private, or DoDEA secondary school (or the homeschool equivalent).
  • Students of any gender can take part in CyberStart America. Girls can opt to join the Girls Go CyberStart community, designed to continue the mission of addressing the underrepresentation of women in the cybersecurity profession by providing additional support and community-specific rewards.

National Cyber Scholarship Competition

To take part in the National Cyber Scholarship Competition, students must meet the CSA criteria, and in addition, they must:

  • Have completed at least 20% of CyberStart Game by the qualifying date (15 March 2021), or meet another qualifying milestone (via picoCTF or CyberPatriot).
  • Be resident in the USA, or on a Department of Defense military base, at the time of the NCS Competition

Teachers and advisors

If you are a teacher or advisor, please do not sign up using the student registration form. Please read our knowledge base articles for educators, and contact us if you would find it useful to have your own Game license.
